7 Months

7 Months
17.2 lbs
26 inches

I want to acknowledge the cute little yellow dress Dixcee has on. Her Great Grandma Hegerhorst made that for her, and it is fitting quite nicely right now. I love the color yellow, so I'm glad Dixcee's dress was in yellow (my Grandma makes one for all her Great Grand Daughters). She loves the ribbons, mostly because everything goes in her mouth right now. It looks great! Thank you Grandma!

I mentioned last post that there was no greater joy than seeing my little girl smile... I will add to that by saying ... AND watching Hudson make his little sister laugh hysterically! Nobody can make her laugh like Hudson and it is THE cutest thing in the world! I know these two will be great friends if Dixcee can stand Hudson being so bossy, but knowing her now, she won't! They'll still be great friends.

She is learning new tricks, she can push herself in a circle on her tummy, this helps her to get maximum range of toys, but is NOT helping with sleeping, she won't roll back during nap times so she is having to learn to sleep on her tummy. She is sitting up! Still a little wobbly but we just make sure she isn't close to anything hard (dressers) so if she tips she doesn't hit her head too bad. She also like to blow bubbles and her face is so cute when she does! It's my favorite!

Dixcee is loving food more and more. I think she almost prefers that over anything and her big brother is always happy to share with her. Let's just say we have to watch him closely. She doesn't like baby food, she likes the solid stuff, so chunks of fruit rather than mashed fruit. She is grabbing at everything and picking it up, so that's fun!

She is sleeping really well. She takes 2-3 naps a day and will sleep all night. She starts being swaddled but breaks out of it pretty quickly. I will be working on weening her out of that though. Really happy baby all around... unless she is hungry or sleepy... haha! But who wouldn't be? We love her tons and tons!
