1 Year!

1 Year!
22 lb 12 oz (50%)
30.5 inches (73%)
18.5 OFC (68%)

To think that I have a one year old, really blows my mind! What a fun adventure it has been so far. He is growing up so much and I just can't help but think that I have the sweetest little boy on earth. He is very stubborn, or rather, determined, he knows what he wants and will go for it. He is so loving though.

He has mastered going up the stairs! We have to gate him in the basement if we are down there or else he will adventure up there and get stuck.  He is a little tease. He likes when we chase and giggles and smiles the whole way until we snatch him up. He still has two teeth and his hair IS growing in... but it's pretty blonde right now.

Hudson loves loves loves books! He will grab one after the other and then start over again. Most times I'm only able to read through the first half of the page before he is flipping to see the next one. I think he finds more enjoyment in flipping pages than the actual story. Although, he frequently laughs at the Humpty Dumpty page in his Children's Rhyme book and smiles and points when he sees other babies and children in his books. He loves other babies!

He took his first steps!! It is the cutest thing to watch him walk, hands in the air, with those staggered foot steps. He is getting better and better everyday. He still can't push himself up to standing without the help of furniture, so once he falls he begins to crawl again. But like I said, he is getting pretty darn good!

He is getting more and more wild at church. Now that he enjoys books it's been easier to keep him quiet and occupied. I'm excited for when he can go to nursery, I think he will enjoy having full range to freedom rather than being restrained by mom and dad.

We celebrated on his birthday weekend (January 24-25) with a little smash cake and some gifts, Grandma Anglin and Aunt Brooklyn were able to be there. The following weekend we had a party for him with lots of family (Uncle Braden, and fiancĂ© Camie, Aunt Brooklyn, Great Grandparents Hemmert, Uncle Lance, Aunt Christine, Cousin Bennett and Jillian and Grandparents Gummersall) Hudson was able to celebrate his birthday with Grandma Mortensen at Disneyland the week before his birthday.  We love our family and thank you for all your support!

We love him so much it's unbelievable! Sometimes I think about working outside the home and I almost start to panic, I love being home with Hudson. Of course, some days are hard, but most days are good! When Landon has the rare occasion of watching him while I have an appointment or meeting he always comments how fun it is to be with Hudson. He really is such a sweet boy, even when he isn't feeling good, all he wants to do is cuddle. His personality is coming out more and more. What a joy and a blessing!
